SKYLINE CHILI
In 1949, Greek immigrant Nicholas Lambrinides opened the first Skyline Chili in Cincinnati, inspired by the recipes he grew up with and a dream of sharing his family’s unique take on chili. What he created was unlike anything else — a secret blend of Mediterranean spices served over spaghetti or hot dogs, topped with a mountain of shredded cheddar cheese.
From that small kitchen with a view of Cincinnati’s skyline came a hometown tradition. Generations later, Skyline Chili has become a beloved part of Cincinnati culture — a place where families gather, friends connect, and visitors get their first taste of true Queen City flavor. Today, people across the country enjoy Skyline not just for the food, but for the memories it creates.
